Join any class at any time; the fee is pro-rated for the balance of classes.

Adult drop-in fee is $18.

Make up for missed classes by attending any other class during the current session.

Learn how to use the body massage balls and the body's weight to deeply massage and stretch hamstrings, quads, IT band, inner thigh, shoulder, back and neck. The techniques will enable you to self- massage at home to relieve stiffness and pain.

Body Massage Ball  Private Sessions

 

Learn how to use massage balls to deeply massage and stretch hamstrings, quads, IT band, inner thigh, shoulder, back and neck. The techniques will enable you to self- massage at home to relieve stiffness and pain. The fee is $50 for 1 hour. Please call 301-365-2424 or email Maggie@yogaplus.com to set up an appointment. Yoga Class Descriptions  

Yoga For Healthy Back: A class dedicated to strengthening the core muscles (abs and lower back) that are essential for flexibility and protecting the back from injury. Also simple exercises for total body health, addressing pain and calming the mind. 

 

Mixed Level Yoga:  Matches breath to movement as poses are woven together for a seamless, flowing practice. A class for those with some yoga experience, focusing on core muscle strengthening and employing the sun salutation and related postures.


Yoga & Weights: Hatha (Flow) Yoga and Free Weights. Yoga postures and movements for core muscle strengthening, flexibility, balance and relaxation; and weights for upper body toning. This is a more challenging class; however the difficulty is adjusted to meet the abilities and needs of the participants.


Living with Scoliosis: Scoliosis is a commonly occurring lateral curvature of the spine. It affects young and old alike. It leads to poor posture, back, hip and leg pain and impedes organic function. Instructor Maggie Wong has had scoliosis since childhood. As a yoga practitioner and instructor she has learned and developed a variety of exercises, stretches and self-massage techniques to successfully live with the affliction. These non-invasive techniques are not a cure, but will help one to deal the the condition and improve overall wellbeing, including posture and freedom from pain.

Directions: From Beltway take the MD 190/River Road Exit 39 toward Potomac. Proceed on River about 0.5 miles. Turn left onCarderock Springs Drive. Proceed 0.2 miles, turn left on Fenway Road. Proceed 0.3 miles, turn left on Hamilton Springs Court.  Proceed to end of Hamilton Springs Court, to Clubhouse parking lot.

Directions: From Potomac Town Center, proceed ¾  mile northeast on Falls Road, make left into paring lot just before reaching South Glen  Road. 

                                                                               

Although you may join any class at any time, we encourage you to enroll in a series so you make a commitment to yourself to regularly exercise. Improvement and gains come through regular, uninterrupted practice. Please bring a yoga sticky mat or purchase one in the class ($25).
