Yoga Plus builds on traditional yoga's methods of achieving physical and mental well being by incorporating modern techniques that strengthen parts of the body most vulnerable to injury and stress, particularly the back, neck and joints.
Developed by certified yoga instructor Maggie Wong, the Yoga Plus system is suitable for beginners and continuing students of all ages and fitness levels. Instruction includes: healthy breathing to calm and focus the mind, stretches to improve body tone and flexibility, static and flowing yoga postures that promote strength and balance, and targeted exercises that help stabilize core muscle groups. Maggie specializes in teaching the use of massage balls, self-massage aids that can penetrate and loosen sore muscles and joints.
In addition to group and private lessons, Yoga Plus offers popular Body Massage Ball workshops and a unique pain-management and conditioning program for scoliosis sufferers.
